Summer Days

It's been a fantastic experience to live in Melbourne.  Cheryl and Ava are back in the U.S. now, so it falls on me to post some final pictures of our time here.  So without further ado...

Celebrating Australia-er Day with face stickers
Ava's says "Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!"

Ava at St. Kilda Pier, with Melbourne in the background
Torquay Surf Beach.
The town Torquay is home to brands such as Rip Curl and Quicksilver
Torquay Surf Beach Babe
I won't get to see the surf competition, but I saw the beach

Summer peaches on the patio

The Caulfield Ward chapel we attended

Melbourne Boat show - Ava loves pirate ships

Big red bouncy thing (that Ava played on for hours)

Melbourne LDS Temple (and yes, I am the photographer)

U-Pick strawberry patch on the Mornington Peninsula

Ava is fearless around animals -
which can be good or bad, depending on the animal

Feeding Lucy the lorikeet

Mornington Peninsula

Again, no fear around animals

Private swimming pool.  It kept Ava entertained for HOURS

Pregnancy yoga - Ava is learning too

Leaving on a jet plane - Ironic that it's not built by Boeing
Melbourne - photographed from an 88-story building
Watching the sun rise from our patio
Bunjil: An aboriginal deity,
and one of Ava's favorite city landmarks
Matching hairstyles.  Thanks Grandma!
(Disclaimer: this picture was not taken in Australia)
I can't wait to see these two gorgeous girls in a few days!!

Ava gets her animal-lover from Cher. She was just like that when she was a kid. Nothing scared her. So glad all your girls are doing well. I hope the time apart is short and painless.
