Ava turns 3

Ava on her 3rd birthday!
Ava had lots of fun for her birthday and birthday party. Both Eric and I put a lot of effort into making birthday memories for her.I feel that as a parent there is so much joy in making memories and seeing your Child's face light up with excitement. So the morning of Ava's birthday Eric put together a treasure hunt with picture clues leading to where her birthday presents were hidden.

Later that day we took Ava on a date to get ice cream, ride go-carts, and play at the family fun center together.

My theme for her party was easy. She's been telling me she wants a Dora birthday since July. However, she has also been telling me that she wanted Diego to be there. (For those of you not familiar with Dora the Explorer: Diego is Dora's cousin. Also Ava has a little crush on Diego; go figure, he can bench press a dolphin while singing "Sube, Sube, Sube")

I lucked out because Diego heard about the party and was highlight of Ava's day. She was holding his hand the entire time it was very cute!

Diego took the kids on a rescue mission to save the butterfly pinata. They used the map inside their backpack sacks to find the butterfly and stopped swiper (Eric holding a paper cutout) along the way.

Gathering for Cake

Lots of happy memories!

What a fun party. My girls are getting too old for those kind of parties and I miss it a little. She is so cute. Give her a big kiss for me.
