In between bout's of sickness on both Christmas and New Years our family managed to do a road trip to Sydney. I was glad we had the opportunity to drive and see some of the Australian bush. We also had a good laugh at some of the town names like Wongawilli and Wooloomooloo. Below are some pictures of our trip.
Along the way we found this park with an old submarine to climb on.
We spent one night in Canberra to see the nation's capital.

We didn't intend on spending so much time at the War Memorial, but it turned out to be pretty interesting learning about some of the major wars in Australia.

| I thought these were hilarious! They call them Oz Bubbles. We didn't try them although Ava really wanted to! |

Below are pictures from Darling Harbor where we played at a big park most of the day.
After wearing Ava out at the park we drove straight home to Melbourne which took us a total of 11 hours. Not too bad considering we had an energetic 2 year old in the car.
Speaking of 2 year old's, Ava is now officially part of the club! I will include pictures in my next post since her friends party hasn't happened yet.
